Arctic Energy Forum 2024 will be held in the town of Akureyri, in Northern Iceland, Monday - Tuesday, October 14-15 2024.
Conference Registration fee - USD 395. Fee includes: conference material, refreshments, lunches, an excursion in Akureyri, and a conference evening.
Education and policy tour - USD 350. A pre-conference education and policy tour in Akureyri and the North East region is offered on Saturday and Sunday, October 12-13 - see agenda for more details. The fee is included the tour, guide, reception on Saturday, lunch on Sunday and the Forest Lagoon social program on Saturday evening.
Energy and scenic tour from Akureyri to Reykjavik on Wednesday 16th ( prior to the Arctic Circle Assembly ). Cost USD 90. Travel from downtown Akureyri in the morning to downtown Reykjavik in the early evening with visits at scenic places and energy infrastructure on the way - see agenda for further details. Accommodation has been block-booked by the organizers for the benefit of the participants at negotiated conference prices. Book your accommodation through the travel support registration form. Please book your accommodation as soon as possible as availability is limited.
Accommodation is offered in four categories
- Guesthouse - USD 160 per night (breakfast included)
- 2 star hotel - USD 195 per night (breakfast included)
- 3 star hotel - USD 245 per night (breakfast included)
- 4 star hotel - USD 295 per night (breakfast included)
Rooms are reserved upon confirmed registration on a first-come - first-served basis.
An affordable and convenient bus option from Keflavík airport and/or Reykjavík downtown to Akureyri will be provided to participants on Saturday the 12th to participate in the Pre-Tour and /or on Sunday the 13th for conference participants. The bus is equipped with free wifi and WC facilities. Book your transfer through the logistics registration form. Total travel time is 6-7 hours, including a 45-minute health stop on the way to Akureyri.
