Akureyri, often referred to as the capital of the north, is one of Iceland's most vibrant towns. With a population of around 19,000, and approximately 30,000 in the surrounding areas, Akureyri offers a rich blend of culture and natural beauty. Visitors can explore charming cafés, diverse restaurants, fascinating museums, and the inviting outdoor swimming pool, all of which contribute to the town's unique appeal.

The Arctic Energy Forum will be held at Hof, the town's cultural center, conveniently located within walking distance of most of the recommended hotels.
