Arctic Energy Forum 2024 will be held in the town of Akureyri, in Northern Iceland, Monday - Wednesday, October 14-16 2024 - see agenda.

Registration fee

  • Before July 15th - USD 575
  • After July 15th - USD 695

Fee includes: conference material, refreshments, lunches, excursion in Akureyri and conference evening.

Travel support, including accommodation, domestic transfers and optional tours are booked seperately - see travel support

A pre-conference education and policy tour is offered on Saturday and Sunday October 12-13 - see agenda for details. Cost of the pre-tour, excluding travel to Akureyri and conference registration, including food during the tour and the Forest Lagoon social program on Saturday evening is USD 350.

Travel support

Accommodation has been block-booked by the organizers for the benefit of the participants at negotiated conference prices. Book your accommodation through the travel support registration form. Please book your accommodation as soon as possible as availability is limited.

Accommodation is offered in four categories

  • Guesthouse - USD 145 per night
  • 2 star hotel - USD 195 per night (breakfast included)
  • 3 star hotel - USD 245 per night (breakfast included)
  • 4 star hotel - USD 295 per night (breakfast included)

Rooms are reserved upon confirmed registration on first come - first served bases.

An affordable and convenient bus option from Keflavík airport and/or Reykjavík downtown to Akureyri will be provided to participants on Saturday the 12th to participate in the Pre-Tour and /or on Sunday the 13th for conference participants. Book your transfer through the logistcs registration form (coming soon). Total travel time is 6-7 hours, including a 45 min health stop on the way to Akureyri.

  • Keflavík to Akureyri - USD 110 per person
  • Reykjavík to Akureyri - USD 90 per person

An educational and scenic transfer is offered for all participants from Akureyri to Reykjavík on October 16th afternoon, prior to the start of the Arctic Circle Assembly, See agenda for details. Book your transfer through the travel support registration form.

Cost of bus travel to Reykjavík downtown - USD 90 per person

Flights depart from Reykjavík domestic airport to Akureyri. Book your local flight at www.flugfelag.is
